Wax Purification Plant Process
The word “wax” conjures up images of a white solid fat, such as candle or beeswax, but this is not the precise definition of wax. Wax is a fat-like substance that contains a variety of chemicals with high melting temperatures. Wax is highly hydrophobic, it is employed as a natural barrier to water and moisture, as well as microbes. Wax is also used as a coating over leaves & fruits for giving a glossy texture & longer shelf life.
Process Description:
De-waxing technique is used to separate the wax from the oil. Spectec has created a continuous de-waxing method that results in wax with less oil entrainment.
The wax is then de-oiled and purified for use in a variety of applications. Wax esters, which include long chain alkyl esters and steryl esters, make up the majority of wax in edible oil. They’re classed as a polar lipid species with a lesser polarity than di-glycerides. Rice bran oil wax is known for having a high level of antioxidants.
Features:
- Longer operating life
- Lower power consumption
